We always like our classes to have an informal feel. We’re serious about the work, but not serious about ourselves. We pride ourselves on hosting a safe, supportive space to learn, have fun, and improve your skills in front of camera.
Every term at The Actor's Room is unique.
We cover a wide range of genres and techniques designed to keep actors on their toes.
Each week you’ll be given a new script to prepare and work with in class, and you'll receive
detailed feedback and support within the sessions.
Every week the takes you have filmed will be sent back to you for no extra fee.
These are yours to keep! Some of our actors like to use them for social media or for their acting profiles.

Our classes take place in our studio space on Charles Street in central Cardiff.
A 3 minute walk from Queen Street station.
A 10 minute walk from Cardiff Central.
Nearest car parking available in NCP Cardiff Rapports or St Davids 2.
Please note our studio space is on the top floor of an old town house that is only accessible via stairs.

Dan Linney

I'm an Actor/Director/Coach who graduated from East 15 Acting School in 2017.
As an actor, I work primarily in Television and Film, with credits on projects for the BBC, Netflix, HBO, Channel 4, ITV, & Disney+.
I also work as a guest lecturer and director at Drama schools & Colleges, most proudly returning to East 15 to direct third-year actors in short film projects. In between these two roles, I write and direct showreel scenes for actors, under the pseudonym ‘The Script Ape’. The Ape (It’s me, I’m the Ape) has written and directed over a 1000 showreel scenes to date.
I believe confidence and relaxation are crucial to you delivering your best work. I aim to create a laid-back, supportive and professional environment that you can thrive in. I’ll work with you to find clarity in your approach and help you deliver a grounded, authentic performance on screen.

I'm a Welsh actor and filmmaker from Cardiff, and graduated from East 15 Acting School in 2016.
I returned to Wales with the aim of creating interesting screen work and helping Welsh actors on their paths.
I am a two-time award winning filmmaker, and have created films with the Sherman Theatre, NHS Wales, and The National Museums.
Alongside this I have 8 years of directing showreel scenes and working with students at colleges.
As an actor I have won a couple of awards for short films, appeared in some feature films, and have been the face of Pringles and an Italian soft drink.
I believe that the best way to learn as actors is by trying things out and making choices in a safe, supportive environment.
"You can learn so much from failure. I feel it's a key part of the process; and never knock yourself down for it because it's all about sculpting the actor you aim to become."
